Ableton Tutorial - Minimal Tech House
Interesting tips on building percussive textures as well as vocal ones in Ableton. The one i like most is in the very beginning midi note randomizer plug in + simpler with a tom sample loaded. That they use to create some cool minimal percussive effect. Vocal texture tip is also worth looking into.

If you’re serious about your music and are into making beats, we’ve got a BIG opportunity for you aspiring producers... The idea of the competition is to give up and coming producers the chance to work with one of the industry’s leading artists, launch their music career with the world’s premier dance label and be financially rewarded for their work, receiving 50% of publishing and an equal share of artist sales royalties.
