Reading a couple of tutorials really works for inspiration. Recently i found a couple of new sites that i am a subscriber to now. It is reason101 and reason patch a day. It's not to say i am using their patches in my music just now, simply reading fellow music makers making music on reason makes me want to do it, too.

sessions 2011 liveset 1 take2

Previously known as winter jam 2011, i hereby give you the take2 of my first liveset this year. It has now a got a new piece following the first track in take1.. The set is 15 mins in length and features some of the borrowed samples from popular artis. I will provide a list when the liveset is done.

Naming tunes, livesets, and any other artwork is often hard. The name is the first thing users notice before they listen. So it's gotta be clear whether it's a track, set, or loop..

Transitions can create interest, drive excitement. Simply put, transitions glue different composition blocks together.

Most common transitions are:

• The Reverse Cymbal
• The Reverse Vocal Swell
• The Machine Gun Snare Roll
• The “Swoosh” Transition

kevkondro liveset 2011 winter jam take1

Alright.. this is actually something i have not been up to lately. And it is making livesets. Briefly, what is a liveset? Liveset is live mixing and launching pre-made midi clips in ableton. Typically, my livesets are comprised of four pieces. This is as much controller space as i can have to control different tracks simultaneously. So roughly it is around 30-40 mins set.
